Wade in the Water

We just finished learning the wade in the water dance. I think it came out really well. I think it will look really professional with the costumes. I like all the body motions and how well they work with the music. I really enjoyed doing that dance

Alvin Ailey

On Saturday I went to see a dance performance at Ailey 2. It was really cool. I saw a lot of different types of dance elements. One that I noticed was cannon.The dancers ran on one at a time and froze in a position, then switched to new positions one by one in the order that they came on.

Hawaiian dance

We just learned a dance from Hawaii. I thought it was really different from other things we have been doing. One thing that was unique about it was how the entire dance is done kneeling on the ground. I think it is interesting that you can express so much with just your arms. It was really relaxing and fun to do the Hawaiian dance.
